Create a Volume Surface
Objective:
Learn how to create and view a volume surface entity
NOTES:
- A volume surface is developed by comparing a base and reference surface. The volume surface will express cut and fill values and an overall total volume of earthworks that must be or have been performed.
- The Base surface will represent Original Ground.
- The Comparison Surface will represent the modified ground as a surface which represents fill above zero elevation and cut as below zero elevation.
- You will be prompted to select a Base surface and a Comparison surface:
- The Base surface will represent ground before earthworks has occurred.
- The Comparison surface will represent ground after earthworks has occurred.
